Portrait of Hey Young Believer
Hey Young Believer is your favorite three-piece analog/digital pop-rock group from SF. We play guitar, drums and keys live coupled with bass-lines and samples from foot-controlled laptops. Technology! We produce our own tunes and enjoy big-sounds and grandiose endings. You can support us by coming to one of our awesome shows where we'll hook you up with a free sticker.

"Hey Young Believer," is a line from the Rancid song "Black Lung Fever." It's a phrase that could preface all sorts of questions, especially about modern orthodoxies. What does it mean to believe in something and should we? Can we trust ideologies or is everything really just being sold to us? Can popular music be rebellious? We grew up thinking it could be.

Visit our website at and help yourself to some free downloads. Lilly and Alex spend some time on meaningful lyrics, so go ahead and read them. Then write to us if you like them or wanna discuss. See you at the show!
