The Kraimspri gang have notched up shows the world over; ranging from legendary CBGBs in New York City to Sydney, Australia, China, the UK and back again. The music has been compared to Black Sabbath and Boss Hog, John Spencer Blues Explosion and L7. The band site their influences as far and wide as 30s jazz, 50s rock and roll, 70s punk rock and 90s stoner sludge.
“Toy Boy is angry, impassioned chick-rock at its most deliriously screeching apex.”
In June 2010, the band decamped to Kettering, UK to record the "Pussy Magnet" EP with British producer Russ Russell (Dimmu Borgir, Napalm Death, The Exploited, The Wildhearts). Which was released on New Year's Day, 2011. The rest of that year was spent promoting the EP in Europe. On the success of that release they toured Norway extensively, along with trips to the UK, Germany and Australia, as well as release a video for the title track off the EP, Pussy Magnet. The singels "Oh My" and "Pussy Magnet" were picked up by the major alternative youth radio station, NRK P3 Unsigned (P3 Urørt) and they were repeatedly named "a band to watch" for their catchy songwriting, explosive, tight live-shows and quickly growing fan-base. They opened for Casiokids, Melissa Auf Der Maur (Eks HOLE, Smashing Pumpkins bassist), Ida Maria, Datarock.
They returned to the studio in 2012 to record their release with Mr. Russell, and toured throughout the year including gigs in Norway and Germany as well as a career highlight performance with the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra.
Based in Stavanger Norway the band is made up of Norwegian-born, New York raised Sassy on guitar and vocals, Tricky Dick of Australia on lead guitar and backing vocals and Lovely Linda on bass and backing vocals. The new release, a trilogy of 7 inch singles titled "Cock Fight" is being mixed and mastered and will be released in 2013 and followed up by more touring.
