Now in its 5th year, DC Shorts has been named by MovieMaker Magazine as “one of the nation’s leading short film festivals.
During the week, we will screen 102 films and read 6 screenplays in 9 rotating showcases. We have many local films, as well as movies from 8 different countries
This year, you can vote on all of them in many categories. Before the festival, choose your favorite Original Song, or help to select a band which will play at one of our three parties. During each screening, vote for your favorite film. And at the special Screenwriting Competition (a free event,) you can vote for your favorite script performance — and the winner will receive funds to make the film
More than 150 filmmakers will be in attendance to answer questions, chat about film — or just hang with and get to know.
