Briana Stevens, also known as BRIE-Z, who proudly represents the Midwest, is an Ohio native. From an early age, BRIE-Z has always felt that people should be real and not be afraid to speak the truth. Following those convictions, BRIE-Z turned her life over to God and was baptized at the age of 8. Musical expression came easily for BRIE-Z, first learning the saxophone, then the tuba, and finally playing the trombone. She has since taught herself Bass Guitar, Keyboard and Drums. Learning all the instruments was just a glimpse of her real talent of putting lyrics to beats and rapping them with an aggressive style. BRIE-Z is a talented artist who not only writes her own lyrics, she edits and records her own CDs. She is a graduate of International College of Broadcasting in Dayton, OH where she earned her Associate Degree in Audio & Video Engineering in March 2007. In April of 2007, BRIE-Z entered and won a You- Tube Contest that enabled her to meet Beyonce’ Knowles. She has also been privileged on several occasions to be in the company of solo artist, Michelle Williams, who she calls her role model and inspiration. BRIE-Z raps about life and more often than not uses her own experiences as the theme of her songs. All of her songs have a positive message and differs from mainstream Rap. BRIE-Z has chosen to use her talent to let the world know that you can Rap and make your point without profanity, without glorifying violence and/or sex. Her latest self published CD is entitled “The Merge”. It takes her songs about real life and her songs about God and inspires her audience. With songs titled “One Nation Under God”, “Amen”, and “He Can”, BRIE-Z will set the music world on fire with her aggressive style, positive message and a heart that glorifies God.
