Portrait of Don Worden
I am a transplanted Maritimer living in Houston by way of 7 years in the Persian Gulf, a couple in Libya and various stints in Fredericton, Saint John, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina and Toronto.
Having performed in coffee houses, (for those who remember them) lounges, clubs and bars (not to mention the occasional K-Mart parking lot and college gig, I settle more for spending my music time in the studio and jamming with friends, and of course, writing.

Song writing is a passion which was re-awakened when I got to Texas where the encouragement and response has been so rewarding.

I released a single (45RPM - again, for those who remember them) in the '80s.
Self-Released a CD of 12 songs from my catalogue April last year (you can find it on CD Baby) and I would love it if all y'all reviewed it. I learn a lot that way.
By the way, some truly great Texas musicians play on the songs.

I have only been active on OurStage for a short time and have been amazed by the depth of talent and beautiful music being featured here.

The comments on my music have been insightful and thoughtful for which I am grateful. The most important thing though are the friends that I have made. Talented artists all from which I am learning things every day.

My goal is to hear my music done by artists with far superior talent (and obviously there are many) and I look forward to many discussions and I dare say, tutorials from this wealth of music-makers.
