Arthur Adams: song-and-dance-man, entertainer, writer, director, misanthrope.
BLAMMOS is his soul band with chanteuse Joelle Jaffe, drummer extraordinaire David Stockhausen and el señor guitaro Miguel Matias.
He and various permutations of the band have graced many first-class stages across the country, including (the now defunct) Sin-e and The Living Room in New York, The Hideout in Chicago and The Dirty Dog in Austin, as well as numerous Northern California music halls. In October of 2007 they were chosen to take the stage at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York alongside five other acclaimed Bay Area bands at the Talking House Productions SF@CMJ showcase.
Since early 2006, after releasing their debut LP, “It can*t be true” and in between three national tours, Arthur & Co. have been creating their own music videos, and have since produced OVER 60, including the award-winning “Girl of My Dreams.” In fact, each day during November 2007 they made a new music video and posted them online. These videos were shot in various locations featuring members of BLAMMOS, friends, relatives, other bands and strangers. November 2008 found Arthur & Joelle once again in frantic filmmaking mode, when they made another 30 videos in 30 days. A DVD, including a selection of all the best videos will be available in early 2009. Watch them all at YouTube and BLAMMOS.com.
