Raven Black Releases Rocking Four-Song E.P! Seattle, Washington. Mix a strong female rocker with complex lyrics and a driving beat and you get singer/songwriter/guitarist Raven Black who has recently released a four-song E.P showcasing her unique singing, guitar playing and songwriting talents. Raven Black’s clear, fierce voice, coupled with danceable percussion and timely issues, explore the world’s darker side, emerging with a music that’s deep, driving, and mystical. The CD includes four brand-new singles, including “Men in Blue,” “Eclectic,”“Wasted Teen,” and “Another Day.” The richness of the CD's production and musicianship aptly illustrates the fact that Black is moving rapidly up to a new level in the recording industry. The CD illustrates the fact that although she’s a seasoned performer with several bands to her credit, Seattle native Raven’s greatest success has come through her presence and assurance as a talented solo musician. After her stint with the band Oktober in Washington D.C., she moved to Los Angeles, where she returned to her personal vision of writing, performing, and recording music as a solo artist. It was in Los Angeles that she met up with now producer and personal manager Mark Roth, who encouraged her to emphasize and expand her solo work, bringing a band into the studio only as needed to augment her formidable singing and musical talents. When studio work at Paramount Recording Studio's in Los Angeles on the new CD was completed, Raven returned to Seattle to pursue a solo career as a recording artist. Raven now resides in New York City and is signed to Indie Label Triple6Records. Black is currently working on several new songs for a full-length CD to be produced and will soon begin showcasing her unique voice in performances throughout the world.
