Deveny Chelsea Borroum (born February 19, 1990), known by her stage name “Rubie July”, is a rapper known as the first lady of Grind Squad Entertainment. This St. Louis native started rapping one year ago when producer Jae-Class provided her with a song sample, which was used in her first song entitled “Eyes on me.”
Since then Rubie July has been the only female rapper of Grind Squad Entertainment and has recorded over 40 songs including her first single entitled “Purple Label,” and is in the process of recording three-mix tapes and a pre-album as well as performed for various audiences in the St. Louis area.
Listeners can be guaranteed to hear music with a one-of-a-kind sound that appeals to all audiences including male and female. Rubie July may be feminine but her explosive sound and style exhibits her dynamic personality along with her versatility.
As a rapper Rubie July hopes to become a St. Louis female rap icon showing the world that she has a unique rapping style that should not be ignored.
