Portrait of A-Luvv
Born and raised out of Charlotte N.C. at age 25, music has always been apart of my life. From trials and tribulations, I've been singing and writing & performing since I wuz 12-13. I always played around and didn't take it serious... To much was going on around me like, my parents were heavy into drugs, me and my siblings constantly being separated. To me being in the streets and involed in the gangs/organizations like "KINGS OF CHARLOTTE"... But my great-grandmother & auntie tried their best to keep me and my sisters involve in the church... I used to love getting on the mic and singing/leading the choir of my church... Started getting to hard-headed where I was a rebellious teenager... From the westside of Charlotte N.C.(Hoods & Ghettos)... I always found myself into the wrong crowds... I always thought of myself being outcast from the reg. kids in school, only getting in where I fit in. But when I wasn't surrounded by the whole auroa of doing bad, I would write and sing to my lonesome what I felt deep inside my heart & soul... I got accepted into "NorthWest School Of The Arts"... off beattis ford road... I took up: "Concert Choir, Dance, Drama, Theater, etc... These are the subjects I found out I could be a diff. person other than myself... Where I could portray a famous superstar or just a diff. person in general... I eventually got into some trouble, where I had to do time... After the untimely death of my beautiful, late great mother "Mrs. Judy L. Prayor, which tore me up deeply... I knew I had to give it my all with this music... I got married at a young age, and had children which slowed me down for the better... I love my family deeply, and I'm gonna succeed knowmatter what... Here's a few of my inspirations: Tupac Shakur, M.J., James Brown, Tempatations, Smokey Robinson, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gayed, Lil Walter, Anita Baker, etc. to Drake, Lil Wayne, Usher, Ginuwine, Timbaland, Aaliyah, Biggie Smalls, etc... Like the late great brooklyn M.C. said "We Can't Change The World, Unless We Change Ourselves"...
