Media Solution hail from Turin (Italy) with music that’s packed with aggression, power and melody
Beginning in 2001, Media Solution started off playing small clubs around Italy slowly building a fan base with their crossover music, two years later they gained attention from Italian label Akom Prod. with their song, “Pejote”.
“Pejote” was to become part of a compilation (Akompilation Vol.001) for the label, which was then distributed in Czech Republic, Slovakia, UK and Brazil. Being their first single, Media Solution received rave reviews by several webzines, fanzine and radios and was even broadcasted in Australia for 4 weeks. The summer of 2005 brought Media Solution the opportunity to take part in a contest organized by the ChicoBum Festival in Borgaro Torinese. Among 13 bands Media Solution won a slot to play during Motorhead’s live shows in Borgaro Torinese. By the fall of 2005 they headed into the studio to record their first full length album called “The drop experiment” which was released online only. Media Solution then headed out to a successful tour in support of their album.
During the 2006 Turin Winter Olympic games, the song “Pejote” became part of the official playlist for the Italian snowboard and freestyle team.
June 2006 brought Media Solution the opportunity to be the only Italian band to play with Obituary, Agnostic Front, Madball and Caliban in Italy’s summer festival DAYS OF THE DEAD.
2007 was a year of many milestones for the band including becoming the official opening band for the Italian date of Sepultura’s European tour and gaining a special guest spot on MTV Italy and SKY television with their song “No Business” being used in a commercial for a popular Italian music shop called “Magazzino Musicale Merula” which intern helped the band gain momentum in Italy and Europe.
Media Solution began touring extensively in 2007, they took a break to record a 5 song EP with Sliptrick Records and then came back full force to tour again in 2009. April of 2009 would prove to be bittersweet with the untimely death of their best friend and drummer Livio, from a fatal motorcycle accident.
Despite the heartbreaking loss of their drummer, Media Solution decided that the band must go on. Armed with new members, they make their first trip to Los Angeles in February 2010 to record their new album entitled “Horizon Of Events” produced by Mikey Doling (Snot, Soulfly, Channel Zero) with special guests Derrick Green and Jean Dolabella of Sepultura.
July of 2010 Media Solution did a showcase at the world famous Roxy Theatre in Hollywood (California) to rave revues.
August 2010 Media Solution released their first videoclip for the single “My Soul Still Burns”, directed by Nathan Cox (Linkin Park, Korn, SOAD,Marilyn Manson etc…)
In a career that has spanned 10 years, Media Solution has been direct support for such bands as Sepultura, Obituary, Agnostic Front, Madball, Caliban, Born From Pain, Evergreen Terrace, Black Dahlia Murder, Machinemade God, First Blood, Bridge To Solace and Exilia.
With new members and new record, Media Solution is ready to conquer America with their crossover metal. There is no doubt they will gain new fans with music that is in your face, aggressive, powerful and passionate!
