Portrait of Lindsey Stacey

Lindsey Stacey is a star on the rise. Her dynamic vocals and inviting stage presence have drawn her honored reviews from the industry as well as her peers. She has a long and rich musical heritage which winds from early childhood to today. Lindsey grew up in Tennessee, living in East and Middle Tennessee with her musical family. The love of music came early in her life from her Mom, who Lindsey notes as one of greatest influences. Her Mom would gather her family around the piano teaching them each the intricate art of harmonies and melodies of songs. It was during that time that the young artist fell in love with music. Her love of music expanded to the church stage and finally to vocal competitions by the age of 15. Around the same time, Lindsey, along with her sisters and Mom formed a contemporary Christian band called X-stream Praise and toured churches and concert venues. This would prove to be a defining experience for Lindsey and would launch her into the first step of pursuing her calling in music. Her Mom and sisters encouraged her to follow her dreams and fulfill her desire to perform music full time. At the age of 16, Lindsey landed her first recording contract and opened for an established artist as well as performing at venues such as the Wildhorse Saloon. In 2007 she won a local competition Mt. Juliet Star, in her hometown of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. The contest is in its third year and has garnered a following of industry types that often make up their panel of judges. Upon winning the contest, Lindsey was given a package that included a completed CD project. Through that experience she has learned some valuable lessons that have made her more savvy and wise about the workings of the music industry as a whole. Her soon to be released project reflects her talents and abilities as a vocalist. One song in particular, “The Bruises” was written by her Mom and will be included on the disc, among other personally selected songs. Lindsey is honing in on songwriting as well, returning to her early roots of writing for the family group. In June of 2007, Lindsey married Blake Davis he has been her biggest supporter and influence. Lindsey says that Blake believes in her 100% and supports her fully, telling her that she has what it takes and to never give up on this, her dream
