Becoming Avalon

Becoming Avalon is the alias of Simi Valley acoustic folk musician, Justin La Torre.

Becoming Avalon was first conceived in Justin’s junior year of high school, after departing from Simi Valley punk act No Advisory. Having been inspired by artists such as The Spill Canvas and Rookie of the Year, Justin wanted to make music that stood out from other local acts. Abandoning the punk and hardcore scene, he went back to basics: deep lyrics set over minimal instrument work, typically either an acoustic guitar or piano.

His full length album, It’s All Eyes It’s All Hands It’s All Up In The Air, was released in 2010, with the help of his good friend and home producer Sean Cook. He is currently working on a follow up, due out later in 2011.
